Westminster Council – Windows 7 training (2014)

Westminster City Council is a local authority that administers a large section of central London. The authority is upgrading its IT infrastructure, and has a requirement to train around 3,000 council workers at all levels, situated in several locations across the local authority area. This e-learning package complemented and supported the classroom-based training and provided learners with a simple, easy-to-use reminder of what has changed.

The authority wanted to use the e-learning to highlight changes in the user experience, and show users tips and tricks to get the most out of the software.

Deadlines were tight, so we took a rapid development approach, using Captivate to create a set of ten interactive mini movies that were accessed from a Flash wrapper.

The client also requested a tracking mechanism that had to work outside of an LMS, and a quiz that required an 80% pass rate.
